The power of having a remote for our camera changes how we can shoot pictures as a couple.
Taking photos of us can be such a challenge. It’s honestly frustrating as a photographer. It’s one thing to take pictures of Lynn and it be a fairly easy process, but it is another thing to try and take pictures of us. The other factor is that we don’t have anyone we really trust to shoot us in our real world life. This makes it truly difficult to even capture the essence of who we are in photos.
A typical shoot goes like this for us:
Set up the camera on a tripod.
Focus the camera on Lynn.
Hit the timer button.
Run to get in position with Lynn.
Hope that we look natural.
Check the picture, start over.
That was the old way. With a couple upgrades to our equipment, we were able to change this rhythm of picture taking. Now, with syncing my Sony A7s iv to my phone, we get to see our set up and fire the camera off without having to use a timer, or using the timer, but we are already in position. Being in position and being able to take a picture is huge. It’s this simple little addition that has helped us take better pictures.
What a big difference in our pictures.
This photoset was taken on a recent trip that we had together that was paid for by our earnings from MakeLoveNotPorn. It was a fun little weekend away. We enjoyed the fun of taking pictures. Even though we didn’t film anything this time around, we got some pretty steamy shots. We haven’t really shared them until now.
As my photography gets better, and I actually find time to post to my professional site, I find myself loving to take more and more pictures. What I don’t love is the post-production process. I finished a batch and here they are.
