An adventrous trip to Saint Martin, our first nakation.

Andre and I went on our first international naked vacation to St Martin/ Sint Maarten. We stayed at Club Orient, just before the damage of Hurricane Irma. It was a magical trip, full of gorgeous views, tasty food, beautiful people and of course, getting to enjoy most everything without clothes.
We hiked, we swam, we ate, we drank, taking in the gorgeous Caribbean ocean views.
We planned our Nakation (a vacation that is intentionally taken with the goal of not wearing any clothes) around staying at the world famous Club Orient, which is an entire resort that is designed and housed around the nudist lifestyle. Located on Orient Beach, a bay with beautiful white sand, the southern most part of the beach is marked by its infamous “Nude Beyond This Point” sign.

Club Orient is family friendly, so don’t expect the swinger lifestyles to be out in the open and orgies happening at every nook of the property. This may be the case at some other adult resorts, but the not for Club Orient. There were a lot of families present and they even host family month, where if you travel with your family, they offer discounts on the stay. This very french idea of naturism was definitely felt on site at the club, where there were no lines between nudism and public spaces.
Also, there were swingers there. They came in a big group, and our bungalo was centered right in the middle of their grouping of bungalos. We did not participate with them, but Lynn did ask a lot of questions out of curiosity. The refreshing part was that most of the stereotypes of swingers that we had learned from overhearing at nudist clubs were debunked. These people were nice, courteous, and very respectful of our space. They treated the club like a nudist club, as it should, and enjoyed themselves in the privacy of their own spaces behind closed doors.
A highlight for both of us was a catamaran day cruise to a very small, non-inhabited island.

That day was pretty close to perfection- being naked on a boat at sea is its own delight that is really unmatched in my life experience. The freedom of feeling the wind whipping around your body, the salt in the air and the sun warming your body- it is truly delightful. The tiny island we sailed to had so many beautiful spots to explore, with little nooks and spots to take a sit and chat along the way, enjoying the incredible nature all around.
We also did a day hike to a secluded beach that was tucked away. The views from the hike were lovely, and the beach itself was worth the effort to get there- we took in the serene quiet scene and enjoyed each other’s company, again, enjoying all of this á naturale. We will write more about this in our next volume- there were a lot of pictures to sort so we had to break this post into two.
St Martin and Club Orient hold a special place in my heart and memory for being a gem of a destination that allowed us to create really wonderful moments together.
